Dirk Bolen

June 13, 1963 — May 30, 2017

Dirk Bolen, 53, of Pedro, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Ashland, Kentucky. He was born June 13, 1963, in Owensburg, Kentucky, the son of Eleanor (Warnke) Rohl, of Richland, Indiana, and the late Eddie Bolen and stepfather Jack Rohl.
In addition to his father and stepfather, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Bolen; and grandparents, Ed and Agnes Warnke.
Dirk graduated from South Spencer High School in 1981. He worked at Prosthetic Shoe Store and for several different farms in Evansville, Indiana. The past 14 years, he has ran George’s Produce Stand in Russell, Kentucky, and the Hillybilly Flea Market in Ashland, Kentucky. He was an avid Colts football fan, and enjoyed reading and playing euchre.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cathy Knipp, of Pedro; two daughters, Crystal Bolen and Stephanie Bolen, both of Evansville, Indiana; stepson, Andrew (Hanna) Knipp; stepdaughter, Carla Knipp; two grandchildren, Natalie Hayes and Chloe Hayes, all of Ironton; brothers, David (Sandy) Bolen, of Newburgh, Indiana, and Darrell (Debbie) Bolen, of Richland, Indiana; sister, Angela Miles, of Richland, Indiana; mother-in-law, Thelma Shope; sister-in-law, Tammy Hanshaw; two brothers-in-law, Randy (Kathy) Shope and Greg (Vineta) Shope, all of Pedro; a special aunt, Stevie Warnke, of Richland, Indiana; aunt, Joicie Driskell, of Richland, Indiana; and many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Dale Knipp officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 5 p.m. until the time of the service Friday. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Chrisney, Indiana. Norma Kinney

Norma J. Kinney, 84, of South Point, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Hearland of Riverview, South Point.
Funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Burial will follow at McKnight-Black Cemetery, Durbin, Kentucky. Mary Bennett

Mary Kathy Bennett, of Proctorville, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at home. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Bennett.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, West Virginia. There will be no visitation.
