Pearl Willis

Nov. 2, 1927 — June 11, 2017

Pearl Joan Willis, 89, of Ironton, is together again with her husband and family on Sunday, June 11, 2017. She was born Nov. 2, 1927, in Staten Island, New York, the daughter of the late Charles and Julia Weiss Delux. She was the widow of Perry Bruce Willis.
She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda Willis.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Ironton.
She is survived by children, Thomas (Jan) Willis, Carol (James) Redmond, John (Marcia) Willis and Theresa (Bob) Hancock; grandchildren, David and Michael Eby, Joy, Robin and Stephany Willis, and Jamie Redmond; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Church, Ironton, with Father David Huffman officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

John Fraley

Feb. 20, 1943 — June 8, 2017

John Logan Fraley, 73, of Ironton, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017, at his residence. The Ashland, Kentucky native was born Feb. 20, 1943, a son of the late Lon and Bea Anderson Fraley. He was also preceded by his wife, Judy Artis Fraley, who passed away Nov. 19, 2007.
Mr. Fraley attended Ironton High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a former coal miner and a member of the United Mine Workers. He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Marvich; and two brothers, Roger Fraley and Steve Fraley.
He is survived by three daughters, Mariann Rogers, Cathy (Bill) Jackson and Jodi (Jim) Dyer, all of Ironton; two sons, John (Robyn) Fraley and Jimmy (Toni) Fraley, both of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren, Julie Rogers, Kiley Brown, Drew Brown, Josh Dyer, Logan Fraley, Eric Fraley and Allison Marvich; two great-grandchildren, Harper Fraley and Ethan Fraley; two brothers, Lonnie (Betty) Fraley and Max (Kathy) Fraley; and a sister, Becky (Jeff) Dillow.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, Ironton, with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery and visitation will be 10-10:45 a.m. Friday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton. Norman Beebe

Oct. 15, 1921 — June 12, 2017

Norman Jack Beebe, 95, of Ironton, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at his residence.  Mr. Beebe was born Oct. 15, 1921, in Morgantown, West Virginia, a son to the late Edward Norman, Beebe, Jr. and Gertrude Margaret Mehlinger Beebe.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Hernriette Michotte Beebe, whom he married June 27, 1945.
Mr. Beebe was a graduate of Victory High School and a 1950 graduate of West Virginia University (WVU),  School of Engineering. He was a chemical engineer for 35 years for Allied Chemical, retiring in 1985. Mr. Beebe was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ironton, and a longtime volunteer at the Ohio University Southern Branch in the Electronic Media Department. He loved photography, computers and Starbucks, where he was an honorary barista.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Mae Miller; two grandchildren, Alan Williams and Brittney Reinhardt; and great-grandson, Rylan Thomas.
He is survived by three daughters, Norma Karen (Kristi Hankins) Clark,  of Coal Grove, Sandra Kaye (Tom) Williams, of North Manchester, Indiana, and Gabrielle (Mike)  Reinhardt, of Allentown, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Julia Hammitt, of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, Jacqueline (Christopher) Knipp, Gabriella Lynn (Frank) Thomas, Carl (Angie) Clark, Michael Todd (Jenn) Reinhardt and Jessica Suzann Scott; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and a host of family and friends who will mourn his passing
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Wayne Rollins and lay pastor Beverly Sharp officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery with military rites will be performed by the V.F.W. Post 8850.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Robert Hardwick

Robert “Bob” Lee Hardwick, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Cyndy.
Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Friday in Smith Hall at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. There will be an additional opportunity for visitation at 10 a.m. Saturday before the memorial service begins at 11 a.m. in the church’s sanctuary. Mack Dickess, 91, of Ironton, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Ironton Campus, Ironton. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Chapman.
Funeral service will be 6 p.m. Friday at Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Ironton, with pastor Mike Long officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Donald Nelson

Donald Thomas “Cotton” Nelson, 79, of Argilite, Kentucky, died Monday, June 12, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Joyce Barker Nelson.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Wurtland Church of God, Wurtland, Kentucky, with the Rev. Roger Daniels, Bryan McReynolds and pastor Henry Montgomery officiating. Burial will be at Gambill-Nelson Cemetery, Argilite, Kentucky. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the church.
