CHESAPEAKE — The Picnic in the park event, which was set for Friday at Triangle Park in Chesapeake, has been postponed.

Andie Leffingwell, of Riverside Recovery Service, who was organizing the event, said that due to a forecast of rain all say for today, the group had decided to move the event to July 21, from 5:30-8:30 p.m, at the same location.

The event is one of a series events being held to promote a discussion of addiction issues in the region.
