Lon Patterson
Jan. 31, 1930 — June 18, 2017
Lon H. Patterson, 87, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born Jan. 31, 1930, a son of the late Stanley and Audra Clay Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wynema Lee Gore Patterson, who passed away in May 2007.
Mr. Patterson was a graduate of Kitts Hill High School and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He was a former employee of the Dayton Malleable Iron Company, retiring in 1984 after 34 years of service. He was an avid walker and gardener and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Barry Patterson, Sr; three brothers, Clay Patterson, John Patterson, and Frank Patterson; and three sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Juanita Roberts, and Nan Byers.
He is survived by three sons, Lon Keith (Kathy) Patterson of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Paul Joseph (Kathy) Patterson of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Franklin Dean Patterson of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; two brothers, Pete Patterson of Ironton and Bill Patterson of Coal Grove; ten grandchildren, Jarod Patterson, Sarah Morman, Audra Patterson, Rick Patterson, BJ Patterson, Michael Cunningham, Amanda Clark, Tiffany Danner, Matthew Danner, and Briana Patterson; fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, with Dr. Kevin Willis officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Roger Erwin
Roger Erwin, 67, of Pataskala, died Wednesday June 21, 2017, at his residence in Pataskala. He is survived by his wife, Louella Blevins Erwin. Visitation will be noon-2 p.m. Saturday, at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake. Graveside service will follow at 2:45 p.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery in Gallia County.

Charles Mount
Charles “Chuck” Mount, 64, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday June 21, 2017, at Hospice House of Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Luci Mount. Visitation will be 3:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home in Chesapeake. Service will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Robert M. Spitzer
