Children can discover new, easy to prepare goodies

ASHLAND — The Highlands Museum and Discovery Center is excited to partner with the Boyd County Cooperative Extension Office for a fun, hands-on learning opportunity for area youth.

From 1-3 p.m. Friday, July 7, Eugenia Wilson, the extension agent for family and consumer sciences, will present “Discovering Snacks,” a child-friendly activity that will show children how to make delicious and healthy snacks that are easy to prepare.

The program will take place in the museum’s Discovery Center, and is free with paid admission or membership to the Highlands Museum. Children of all ages are welcome to participate and parents are encouraged to join the fun as well.
