The Ironton City Council will have three meetings tonight starting at 4:30 p.m. when the strategic planning committee meets.
At 5 p.m., the finance committee meeting will meet to discuss amending the budget.
And then at 6 p.m., the council will meet in regular session.
There are four items on the agenda.
The first is an amendment to the city budget.
The second item is a contract to pave Ohio 141 from Liberty Avenue to Ohio 217.
The estimated cost to the city is $22,750, but the city has a Toll Revenue credit of equal amount so the city could end up paying nothing for the pavement. The city’s cost will be determined after the project is done and all costs are totaled up.
There are two items on the agenda that are tabled. One is a request for the county auditor to certify the estimated property tax revenue for a renewal recreation levy. The certification is needed before the renewal levy can be submitted to the Board of Elections to get on the ballot in November. They will also discuss a resolution and an ordinance related to the field funding. The other tabled item is about SBA leasing space on the cell tower.
The council meets in chambers on the third floor of the City Center.
