Donald Leibee

Feb. 2, 1944 — Aug. 23, 2017

Donald “Don” Ray Leibee, 73, of Coal Grove, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky.
Mr. Leibee was born Feb. 2, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, a son to the late George and Ethel (Litteral) Leibee. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janice Hunley Leibee, whom he married Nov. 20, 1992.
Mr. Leibee was a 1961 graduate of Fairview High School and a graduate of the School of Cosmetology in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a self-employed hairdresser for over 50 years. Mr. Leibee enjoyed genealogy and ancestry, gardening, and was a Mason. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, Carol (Venz) Leibee, who passed away in 1989; sister, Dorothy Bennett; and two brothers, James “Jim” Cecil Leibee and James Harmon Leibee.
He is survived by daughter, Elizabeth Leibee, of Ironton; son, Brent (Michele) Leibee, of Atlanta, Georgia; grandson, Blake Leibee, of Atlanta, Georgia; granddaughter, Brooke Parker, of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Lou Johnson, of Ashland, Kentucky, and Wanda Haldoupis, of Boynton Beach, Florida; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; special nephew, Dana Johnson, of Ashland, Kentucky; two special friends, Bob Wheeler, of Ashland, Kentucky, and Betty Ray Vickers, of South Point; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with Brother Chad Pemberton officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Jean Newman

Jean G. Newman graduated to Heaven on Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Newman; and her son, David Brian Newman.
She is survived by two sons, Russell Gene Newman and Marc Anthony Newman; daughter-in-law, Linda Newman; and 10 grandchildren, whom she adored, Scott, Rusty, Cassidy, Hannah, Nicholas, Taila, Ryan, Milah, Shauna and Michael; along with 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was retired from the C.H. Parsons Company.
Funeral services will be 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the Tri-State Baptist Temple, South Point. Visitation will be 11 a.m. immediately preceding the service. Graveside services will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Ashland, Kentucky, and will be for family members only. Craig Allen Barker, 58, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017, at the St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton Campus. The Ironton native was born May 6, 1959, a son of Joan Blankenship Lambert of Ironton.
Craig was a 1978 graduate of Rock Hill High School and a former employee for the National Forestry Service.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Hilda Blankenship; and stepfather, Ronald Lambert.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Don Barker Jr., of Carroll; and a sister, Tracy McClellan, of Ironton.

Deryk Steven Neal, 30, of Daytona Beach, Florida, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2017. A private family memorial service will be in the future, and there will be no visitation. Robert Ferguson

Robert A. Ferguson, 85, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at home. He is survived by his wife, Julie L. Ferguson. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.
