PINE GROVE — Wanda Spears, Joyce Lewis and Margaret Donley were all doing double time.
No, they weren’t moving at twice the pace or grooving to the music. They were each getting two wins at the weekly Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association Tuesday outing.
Pat Riggs was the hostess and served breakfast treats and announced the weekly events.
The ladies then hit the links with Spears, Lewis and Donley all winning two events each.
Riggs got into the act as she also won an event.
Pat Lambert got an extra win as she claimed the 9-Hole Classic Tournament championship.
The Ringer Tournament continues weekly with results posted in the ladies’ locker room.
Next week’s hostess will be Lambert.
The club meets each Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. for a brief business meeting and breakfast treats. After golfing at 10 a.m., the group gathers for lunch and winners are announced.
The club is always accepting new members and women do not have to be a member of the Ironton Country Club to join the Ladies Nine Hole League.
