Parents set bad example for children

My question is: How could any respectable, educated or knowledgeable parent or family member walk off the football field because the Tigers are losing a game?

Help me understand this — we teach our kids to have respect for others if we want them to be a success in life, to do the best they can in academics, sports and leadership roles, and for uneducated adults to walk off a field before the game’s over and show these wonderful team players, cheerleaders and band members that we’re mad at them is a double standard.

It is abusive to the team who practices every day of the week. It’s disrespectful to coaches and school officials who fight to provide these programs for the kids, and it’s bad sportsmanship of the highest degree to the Ironton Tigers.

This is astounding to the other schools. The Tigers can’t concentrate on game, because the rude parents control the game with low-classed, stinking attitudes toward players.

To the ball team parents — they get thousands of dollars for each student that goes to Ironton High — pull your kid out and put them in a school that respects their players.

These kids deserve better than they’re getting for the efforts they’ve put in to represent the Ironton Tigers.

Shame on each and every one of you who’d walk out on a game. God have mercy on your kids. If you’ll abuse a ball team effort, you’ll abuse a team member.
