Propane business celebrates 65 years
Hosts customer appreciation, community event
HANINGING ROCK — Arrick’s propane was founded in 1952 by Ralph Arrick Sr., and continues to serve the region today.
Numbering seven locations and based in Lucasville, the company is now run by the founder’s son, Ralph Arrick Jr., and numbers seven locations locally.
On Friday, the company celebrated the milestone at their Hanging Rock office, where 12 people are employed, with a customer appreciation day.
“It’s even more a community event,” Josh Green, the company’s operations manager, said. “We wanted to give back to the community and show our appreciation for the years of service they have given our business.”
Green said customers had been dropping by at a steady pace since they started in the morning, with many regulars coming in be served free hot dogs, take advantage of the discounts offered for the day and sign up for a raffle to win a propane grill.
“It’s been great to meet our customers,” he said.
