Wanda Hall

June 15, 1965 — Sept. 16, 2017

Wanda J. Boyd Hall, 52, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, at Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born June 15, 1965, the daughter of the late Eugene Boyd and Kathleen Ellis Boyd, of Ironton.
She is survived by her husband, Bertice L. Hall, whom she married on Dec. 14, 1985.
Wanda is a 1984 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, working puzzles and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three sons, Aaron M. Hall, Charles E. Hall and Brian A. Hall, all of Ironton; a sister, Bonnie J. Boyd, of Ironton; friend, David L. Wallace, of Ironton; and special friends, Debbie and George McGhee, of Ironton.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Tim Maddy officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.

Bettie Hurst

Bettie Jean Hurst, 87, of South Point, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Duff Hurst Jr.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky, with pastor Kenny Hurst officiating. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
