Redwomen XC duo get regional berth

RIO GRANDE — Two runners punched their ticket to the regional cross country meet.
Rock Hill’s Camryn Miller was sixth with a 20:54.87 time and teammate Bella Stevens was one spot behind at 21:01.80 as both runners qualified for the girls Division III regional.
The top seven teams and individuals in the top 28 not on an advancing team qualify for the regional meet.
Zane Trace was the team champion with 59 points. Rock Hill was No. 11 with 343 points, Ironton was 14th with 383 points and Green was 17th with 445 points.
Lucy Simpson ran a 23:50.65, Isabella Collins 32:38.54, Mia Gannon 36:10.87 and Hannah Blankenship 43:18.46 for the Redwomen.
Ironton’s top two runners were Graci Davis who ran a 24:36.85 and Molly Rust with a 24:37.06 time to finish 57 and 58, respectively, among the 184 runners.
Erica Collins ran a 26:08.49, Shannon Frazee 28:37.71, Callie Thacker 28:42.88, Sierra Vallance 29:57.27 and Rachel Sanders 30:32.08.
Coal Grove’s Sarah Cecil ran a 22:18:54 to place No. 20. The Lady Hornets’ Emily Compliment ran a 26:39.66.
Symmes Valley’s Maggie McCleese ran a 30:10.18, Kinley Patterson 30:36.30 and Rachael Hayes 36:07.78.
Green’s Tori Ratliff ran a 25:44.72, Megan Johnosn 26:30.69, Kim Brown 27:21.63, Kori Derifield 28:19.88 and Peyton Gafney 29:16.86.
The regional meet is at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Pickerington North High School.
