Ronald Davis

Dec. 22, 1947 — Oct. 21, 2017

Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Davis, 69, of Ironton, was reunited with his parents, Gene and Margaret Brooks Davis, on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2017. He was born Dec. 22, 1947. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janie Whitt Davis, whom he married on Sept. 16, 1967.
Ronnie was a 1967 graduate of Ironton High School. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a retired machinist from CSX. He loved dune buggies, old cars and trading cars.
He is the father of Tawnya (Mark) Bailey, of Ironton, and Travis Davis, of Ironton; brother of Mick (Sharon) Davis, of Wheelersburg, and Chuck Davis, of Ironton; pap of Hunter (Taylor) Bailey and Jaina Bailey; and pap pap of Owen Bailey.
He was known as “Daddy Ronnie” to Ben Wells, Drew Wells and Katie Barron. He was a part of many children’s lives, Sarah Lambert, Katie Carpenter, Alyssa Miller, Issac Cremeans, Kristi Fry Watson and many others. There are so many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends that he will be sadly missed by.

There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Friday at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, with Mary Jane Ford officiating. A funeral procession will form at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, and will leave at 1:45 p.m. for the graveside service. Military Rites will be provided by VFW Post 8850.

Stanley Dillon

Stanley Thomas Dillon, 70, of Ironton, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at a local health care facility.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Tom Riffe officiating. Burial will be in the veterans’ section at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 8850. Cecil Sheppard

Cecil Sheppard, 71, of Scottown, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Julia Sheppard.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Hall Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.
