Homer Lee

March 28, 1951 — Dec. 10, 2017

Homer F. Lee, 66, of Ironton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at his home after a brief illness. He was born a son of the late Oakley Lee and Eloise Jayne Lee Duty.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathy Blankenship Lee, whom he married May 28, 1983.
Homer was educated in the Green Township School system. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp, serving at Paris Island and Vietnam. He drove for several tank lines for 44 years. He was a member of Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Bryan Lee, of Ironton; four grandchildren, Patrick Lee and Kathleen Lee, of Greenup, Kentucky, Gavin Lee, of Ironton, and Ryleigh Lee, of Huntington, West Virginia; and a special former daughter-in-law, Melissa Spears.
Homer had many wonderful friends and loved ones, and someday we’ll meet again in Heaven, for those who know Jesus Christ.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Leatherwood Missionary Baptist Church with pastors Mike Huff and Tim Jayne officiating. Burial will follow in Leatherwood Cemetery and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Jerry Beals

Jan. 28, 1938 — Dec. 10, 2017

Jerry Lee Beals, 79, of Houston, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017.
Jerry was born Jan. 28, 1938, in Coal Grove, to Gilbert and Rosemary Beals.
He graduated from Dawson-Bryant High School in 1955, and joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed at Otis Air Force Base in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, where he met, and later married on Nov. 15, 1958, Joyce Elizabeth Dill, his wife of 59 years.
Jerry was a chief expeditor and buyer for CE Lummus, in Houston, Texas until he retired.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Joyce; and their five children, Kimberly (and James) Hodge, of Columbia, South Carolina, and Tamara Phillips, Debra (and Albert) Welch, Lisa (and Mike) Brownlee, and Timothy (and Gina) Beals, of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jarrod Barkwell, Logan Hodge, Brandon Phillips, Haleigh Tomlin, Casey Berry, Lacey Delay, Michael Brownlee and Jacob Beals; his great-grandchildren, Everett and Hudson Phillips, Devon DeLay, Emmett Tomlin, Wyatt, Cam, and Chloe Brownlee, and in March, Mason Berry will arrive; his brother, James “Jim” Beals; his sisters, Dora Ann McClellan and Connie Brammer, of Ironton; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation for the family will be 5-6 p.m. Thursday and visitation for friends will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton.
Funeral services for Jerry will be 11 a.m. Friday with his brother, pastor Jim Beals, officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.

Sandra Runyon

Sandra Kay Runyon, 63, of Chesapeake, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Runyon.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Iris C. Edwards, 88, of Crown City, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at home.

Alberta Keller

Alberta “Bert” Gay Lucas Keller, 74, of Huntington, West Virginia, formerly of Proctorville, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at Midland Meadows Senior Living, Ona, West Virginia.
