Betty Floyd

April 21, 1929 — Jan. 21, 2018

Betty W. Floyd, 88, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018, at a local nursing home facility. Mrs. Floyd was born April 21, 1929, in Ironton, a daughter to the late Norman and Marie (Smith) Waddle.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Emerson Floyd, whom she married Nov. 20, 1959.
Mrs. Floyd was a graduate of Ironton High School and a retired hairdresser who owned and operated the Pam-Per Parlor. She was of the protestant faith and attended Central Christian Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Mary Catherine Waddle.
She is survived by daughter, Pamela (William) Porter, of Ironton; two granddaughters, Whitney Porter and Dr. Hillary (Justin) Porter-McMillan, both of Ironton; great-granddaughter, Harley Jean McMillan, of Ironton; sister, Etta Marcolini, of Hampton, Virginia; and two brothers, Robert (Carolyn) Waddle, of Ironton, and Glen (Imogene) Waddle, of Chagrin Falls.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, with Minister Willie Purdee officiating. There will be no public visitation. Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Darin Vickers

Darin L. Vickers, 51, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at St. Mary’s Medical Center-Ironton Campus. The Ironton native was born Sept. 28, 1966, a son of the late Pat and Wanda Kellogg Vickers.
Mr. Vickers is a graduate of Ironton High School, formerly worked as a construction worker, and spent the last eight years residing at Harbor Health of Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Vickers; and a sister, Kathi Vickers.
He is survived by a sister, Brenda (Bill) Gustin, of Ironton; three brothers, Mike Vickers and Darryl Vickers, both of Ironton, and Waylon Thacker, of Olympia, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family of Mr. Vickers would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, aides, and all other staff at Harbor Health of Ironton for their tremendous care and friendship over the last eight years. Your laughter, care and dedication impacted our lives greatly.

Billy Harper

July 19, 1974 — April 2016

Billy Ray Harper, of Kitts Hill, son of Peggy Allen Harper, of Kitts Hill, and the late Bill Harper, passed away in April 2016. He was born July 19, 1974, in Gallipolis. He graduated from Dawson-Bryant High School and spent his entire life in Kitts Hill.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Harper.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one son, Justin Harper; and one nephew, Jamie Lambert.
