Detroit drug traffickers sentenced

Three drug traffickers from Detroit, Michigan were sentenced or had sentencing set on Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Judge Andy Ballard’s courtroom, as well as thousands of dollars being forfeited from the cases.

• Deloneo Breham, 27, of 11358 Greenfield Road, Detroit, Michigan, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (Oxycodone), and aggravated possession of drugs (Oxycodone), both second-degree felonies. Ballard sentenced him to 11 months in prison and ordered him to pay court costs. Breham also had $11,201 forfeited in the case.

• Bernard Waller, 28, of 21690 Bennett St., Detroit, Michigan, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (Oxycodone), a second-degree felony. Ballard sentenced him to six months in prison with credit for 30 days served, and ordered him to pay court costs. Waller also forfeited $24,192 in the case.

• Dimitrie Thomas, 44, of 10394 Beechdale St., Detroit, Michigan, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (Oxycodone), both fourth-degree felonies, and receiving proceeds of an offense subject to forfeiture proceedings, a fifth-degree felony. Ballard set sentencing in the case for March.

In other cases:

• Antonio Murphy, 27, of 118 N. Sixth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in marijuana, one fourth-degree and one fifth-degree felony, and trafficking in cocaine, a felony of the fourth-degree. In another case, Murphy pleaded guilty to trafficking in marijuana within the vicinity of a school, a third-degree felony. Ballard sentenced him to four years community-controlled sanctions (CCS) under intensive supervised probation (ISP) with 52 months reserved, and ordered him to complete STAR, 200 hours community service and pay a $5,000 fine. Murphy also had $751 and firearms forfeited.

• Franklin Norris, 57, of 409 Buckhorn St., Ironton, admitted CCS violations. Ballard sentenced him to two years in prison.

• Timothy Perkins, 55, of 7895 County Road 1, South Point, pleaded guilty to forgery, a fifth-degree felony. Ballard sentenced him to four years CCS under ISP with 11 months reserved, and ordered him to complete STAR, 200 hours community service and pay $675 in restitution.

• Alexander Randolph, 25, of 257 W. Anderson St., Crown Point, Indiana, pleaded guilty to possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony. Ballard ordered him to complete STAR and pay court costs.

• Amanda Stephens, 38, of 96 Private Drive 1211, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility or institution (drugs of abuse), a felony of the third-degree. Ballard sentenced her to two years in prison with credit for time served. She will be eligible to go to STAR after one year if a good record is kept in prison.

• Jessica Withrow, 32, of 403 Memorial St., Coal Grove, pleaded not guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (Adderall), one third-degree and one fourth-degree felony, and Ballard set a trial date. She is currently facing seven and a half years in prison if found guilty.

• Misty Hunt, 38, of 317 Mulberry St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (Buprenorphine), both fourth-degree felonies. Judge Charles Cooper sentenced her to 17 months in prison.

• Shawn C. Roach, 24, of 121 Township Road 1105, Proctorville, pleaded not guilty to five counts of trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), two fourth-degree, two third-degree and one second-degree felony. He failed a drug screen, and Cooper doubled his bond to $100,000 cash or surety.

• Kelli Jo Runyon, 32, of 131 Zoar Hill Road, Coal Grove, admitted CCS violations. Cooper sentenced her to 50 days in jail with credit for 20 days served.
