Barbara Ann Jenkins

Aug. 2, 1942 — Jan. 28, 2018

Barbara Ann Jenkins, 75, of Kitts Hill, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at her residence. The Ironton native was born Aug. 2, 1942, a daughter of the late Everett and Darlene McIntyre.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Herbert Jenkins, whom she married June 20, 1969, and passed away May 15, 2011.
She attended Ironton High School and graduated in the class of 1960. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Lambert; and a brother, Donald McIntyre.
She is survived by a daughter, Nissa Jenkins, of Kitts Hill; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Bill) Lightner; a brother and sister-in-law, Emmett (Jean) McIntyre; a sister-in-law, Helen McIntyre; as well as several other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Richard Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery and visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Sharon Walters, 71, of Deering, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at her home. She was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Ralph and late Mildred Norris Walters.
She was a retired teacher from Dawson-Bryant, worked with the CAO and was a girls basketball coach.
She is survived by sisters, Amanda (Jeffery) Roush and Carolee (John) Rowe Jr.; brother, James S. Walters; several nieces and nephews; and three great nephews.
Sharon chose cremation, and a service will be held later at the convenience of the family. O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home, Ironton, in charge of the arrangements.

Beuna Woolums

Beuna “Boots” Woolums, of Barboursville, West Virginia, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018.
Funeral services will be Thursday with visitation from 4-7 p.m. and a celebration of life at 7 p.m. at Betts and West, Nicholasville, Kentucky. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, is in charge of local arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ehallfuneralhome.com.

Alvin Riley

Alvin K. Riley, 82, of Whitehall, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville.
