Frank Neal

April 3, 1949 — Jan. 28, 2018

Frank E. Neal, 68, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Lawrence County native was born April 3, 1949, a son of Edwin Lee and Edna Mae Sites Neal.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Ann McFann Neal, whom he married June 3, 1968, and who passed away in 2003.
Mr. Neal was a 1968 graduate of Rock Hill High School and a former childcare worker for Mended Reeds. He was a member of the Woodland Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, loved wood crafting, being with his grandbabies, and he was a Mason.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Neal; his mother and father-in-law, Garnet and Arthur McFann; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jane and Paul Sharp and Marcie and Frank Vittorio; sisters-in-law, Carlene Klaiber and Lola Nelson; and brothers-in-law, Bobby Haas and Frank McFann.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Michael Neal and Mitchell (Whitney) Neal, all of Ironton; a daughter, Sherry (Ralph) Waller, of Ironton; eight grandchildren, Ashton (DJ) Miller, Adriane (Corey) Noel, Alex Johnson, Allyson Neal, Lainey Parker, Ariana Neal, Aubrey Swayne and Carter Ann Neal, all of Ironton; two great-grandchildren, Hadley Miller and Kreed Miller, both of Ironton; a sister, Kathrine McClaskey, of Ironton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Janet Neal, of Ironton, Barb McFann, of Pedro, Rick Klaiber, of Ironton, Cassie Haas, of Pedro, Faye (Bill) Kerns, of Ironton, Irene (Harold) Yates, of Jackson, Harlen (Sherri) McFann, of Clarks Mille, New York, Darrell (Vivian) McFann, of Pedro, and Debbie (Larry) Barnard, of Pedro; and a lot of nieces and nephews and honorary family, James and Beverly Norris.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with Bro. Dave Schug officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Furnace Cemetery and visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Raymond Vinson

Raymond Howard “Tennessee” Vinson, 83, of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. The Cadiz, Kentucky native was born April 1, 1934, to the late Elliot Vinson Sr. and Gracie P. Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Jane Vinson, whom he married Oct. 12, 1974.
Raymond was a machine operator for Dayton Malleable/Intermet Ironton Iron, where he retired. He was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, choir member and Sunday school teacher. Raymond loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his grandchildren and family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jinnie Virginia Hobson Vinson; one brother, Walter G. Vinson; two sisters, Eltheline Crenshaw and baby Grace Vinson; and two infant daughters.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 11 children, Gloria Allen, of Ironton, Donald Vinson, of Cumberland, Maryland, Ronald (Denise) Vinson, of Princeton, Kentucky, Jennifer Vinson, of Ironton, Phyllis (Rodney) Boykin, of South Point, Jeanetta (Jerry) Taylor, of South Point, Carrie L. Vinson Martinez, of Ironton, Jeffery (Camille) McConnell, of Goodyear, Arizona, James (Julie) Ailster, of Ironton, Ramona (Oscar Jr.) Simms, of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Jason (Tami) Ailster, of Crestview, Florida; a brother, the Rev. Elliot Vinson Jr.; a sister, Ruth McFarland, of Cadiz, Kentucky; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Ironton, with the Rev. Melvin Freeman officiating. Graveside services will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Alvin Riley

Alvin K. Riley, 82, of Whitehall, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, West Virginia. Vicki L. Benton, 65, of Sciotoville, died Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

Donald Baker

Jan. 26, 1938 — Jan. 30, 2018

Donald Dean Baker, 80, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Alma, Nebraska native was born Jan. 26, 1938, the son of the late Warren H. and Freida Andres Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Sue Eaches Baker, whom he married on August 31, 1958.
Donald was a graduate of Bellevue High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Johnson Bible College. He was a former sales and service man for Eco Labs Inc., where he served for 20-plus years, and also an employee for Speedway. Mr. Baker was a member of Bridges Christian Church in Russell, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Baker; and a sister, Barbara Cannon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Christi (Curt) Reams, of Westerville, Julie Baker, of Bowling Green, and Amy Murphy, of Winter Haven, Florida; two sons, Stephen (Janet) Baker, of Romulus, Michigan, and Jeremy (Mikki) Baker, of Youngsville, North Carolina; a brother, John (Veronica) Baker, of Maryville, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Dan, Samantha, Morgan,  Logan and Isabella; and two great-grandchildren, Nora Jo and Ava Jo.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with Minister Kevin Fraley officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.
