GALLIPOLIS — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers finished the regular season by leading from start to finish.
The Lady Panthers never trailed as they beat the Gallipolis Blue Angels 57-35 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Thursday.
Chesapeake ends the regular season 11-11 and 8-6 in the OVC. Gallipolis is 10-12 and 4-10.
Karli Davis scored a career-high 22 points as she hit three 3-pointers and she had five rebounds to lead Chesapeake.
Natalee Hall had 15 points and four rebounds, Brooke Webb scored 10 points and Shia Ervin had six rebounds.
Alex Barnes led Gallipolis with 15 points and six rebounds.
Chesapeake took a 16-11 first quarter lead as both Davis and Hall hit 3-pointers and scored five points each. Webb added four points.
Barnes scored four points for Gallipolis.
The Lady Panthers built a 31-20 halftime lead as Davis scored five more points and Maddie Ward hit a 3-pointer and scored five points.
Barnes again had four points for the Blue Angels.
Chesapeake put the game away in the third quarter by outscoring Gallipolis 22-5 and open up a 53-25 cushion.
Davis had the hot had with two trifectas and she scored 12 points in the quarter. Hall and Webb combined for nine points.
In the Div. III sectional at Jackson, Chesapeake plays South Point at 5 p.m. on Monday.
