CHILLICOTHE — If it was up to the Rock Hill Redmen, they wouldn’t have taken a break.
Rock Hill had a one-point lead at halftime but scored only eight points in the third quarter in a 59-49 loss to the Southeastern Panthers on Saturday.
Jaret Bacorn scored eight points and Kadin France four as Rock Hill trailed just 13-12 after the first quarter. Rex Hartman hit a 3-pointer and scored five points for the Panthers.
Braden Stamper hit a trey and scored five points while Jake Blagg also made a 3-pointer and Rock Hill rallied to take a 24-23 lead at the half.
Hartman again scored five points including a 3-pointer for the Panthers in the quarter.
After halftime, Reece Wheeler and Carson Stauffer scored four points each as Southeastern grabbed a 36-32 lead.
Hartman scored nine points in the fourth quarter and the Panthers were 10-of-10 from the foul line as they outscored Rock Hill 23-17. Wheeler was 4-of-4 at the line and had six points with Hartman, Lane Ruby and Gillum all 2-of-2.
Garrett Miller made a trifecta and scored five points off the bench in the quarter for Rock Hill. Bacorn also had five points, France four and Blagg three.
The Redmen were just 2-of-2 from the foul line in the fourth quarter and 6-of-8 for the game. Southeastern was 9-0f-10 at the line.
Bacorn had 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists to lead Rock Hill (1-19). France added eight points and six rebounds while Blagg had eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Hartman scored 21 points and Wheeler 12 for the Panthers (8-11).
Rock Hill visits Symmes Valley on Tuesday.
