Hornets capture SE Ohio powerlifting meet

The Coal Grove Hornets won the Southeast Ohio powerlifting meet championship on Saturday at South Point High School. SOUTH POINT — The Coal Grove Hornets don’t mind giving you a lift, provided it’s attached to a barbell.
The Hornets’ powerlifting team won the Southeast Ohio powerlifting meet on Saturday and will now advance to the state meet on Saturday, March 17, in Kenton.
“I’m very proud of the kids for the hard work they are putting in,” said Coal Grove coach Evan Ferguson.
Coal Grove had several individual weight division winners that included:
Wyatt Boggs at 165, Nate Harmon at 185, Trey Hunt at 195, Jeb Jones at 225, Ben Compliment at 250 and Josh Waulk at unlimited.
Jones was also named the Top Lifter for his pound-for-pound total.
