Shawn Roach

Nov. 2, 1959 — March 10, 2018

Shawn Andrew Roach, 58, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018, in Ashland, Kentucky, after suffering a short illness. The Ironton native was born Nov. 2, 1959, the son of the late Henry Eugene Roach Sr. and Clarissa Huntley Roach.
He is survived by his children, Shawnna (Chad) Hodges, of Oak Harbor, Washington, and Shawn (Brittany) Roach, of Ashland, Kentucky; and four grandchildren, Daymien Anthony Murray, Bryce Andrew, Jordan Shawn and Nicholas Ali Roach.
He was a graduate of Ironton High School. He was an honorary discharged veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp and a professional glass glazer at the family glass business under Great Uncle Andy and Luther Washington. He was nicknamed by friends and family “Cowboy” and “Shawn-Bug.” He attended the Triedstone Baptist Church in Ironton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a beloved brother, Kevin Roach; and niece, Dorothy (Trissie) Beatrice Lowe.
In addition to his children and grandchildren, he is survived by his seven siblings, Marion Lowe, of Cincinnati, Renee (Rory) Burnette, of Riverside, California, Gallia Roach Boykin, of Chicago, Illinois, and Henry (Shelia) Roach Jr., Joel (Karin) Roach, Eric (Lisa) Roach and Ryan Roach, all of Ironton.
He will also be truly missed by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and lifelong friends.

Gary Taylor

Gary Gene Taylor, 82, of South Point, died Monday, March 12, 2018, at Community Hospice Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Melba Jean Bullard Taylor.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, with Jerry Greenslait officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the graveside service at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, is assisting the family with arrangements. Richard Workman Jr., 65, of Franklin Furnace, died Sunday, March 9, 2018, at his residence. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Cole Workman.

Ashley Leighann McKee, 20-week premature daughter of Casaundra McKee and Michael McKee, of, South Point, died Monday, March 5, 2018, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. Graveside service will be noon Wednesday at Green Lawn Cemetery, Burlington. Her parents have entrusted her care to Brown Funeral Chapel, Ironton.

Marcia Arrington, 73, of Chesapeake, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at her residence.
