Shawnee State’s Miller academic All-American

Portsmouth — Shawnee State women’s basketball had three players named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 season.
Madison Ridout, Shania Massie and former St. Joseph High School standout Hannah Miller all met the criteria for earning the NAIA’s highest academic award. To qualify for NAIA Scholar-Athlete, student-athletes must be a junior or senior academically, having been at their institution for at least one full season, and must have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA at their institution.
The award is the second for Ridout, and the first for both Miller and Massie.
The three scholar-athletes is up from two last season, and the most for Shawnee State since the 2010-11 season.
