Huntington-based Poison Apples to face Gallipolis

HUNTINGTON — Poison Apples Roller Derby, the Tri-State’s active flat-track roller derby team, are set to play their season opener next weekend.

The opening bout against the Silver Bridge Bruisers, of Gallipolis, is set for 5 p.m. Sunday, April 8 at Roll-A-Rama, located at 137 7th Ave. in Huntington.

“This is the Apples’ third match-up against the Bruisers, and it promises to be an exciting game,” the team said in a news release. “The Apples and the Bruisers are friendly off the track, but when the first whistle blows, their gameplay is anything but.”
