Lady Dragons rally by Portsmouth, 9-8

PORTSMOUTH — The Fairland Lady Dragons just kept battling.
The Lady Dragons fell behind 5-1 early but rallied to beat the Portsmouth Lady Trojans 9-8 in an Ohio Valley Conference game on Thursday.
The Lady Dragons second win overall and in the OVC came after they fell behind 5-1 in the first inning.
Fairland then scored four runs in the fifth and sixth innings to lead 9-5.
Portsmouth tried to rally with three runs in the bottom of the seventh only to fall short.
Erin Rowe was 2-3 to lead the offense. Libby Judge was 1-3 with a double and two runs batted in.
Fairland hosts Coal Grove on Friday.
