Blue Angels beat Lady Panthers, 7-4

GALLIPOLIS — It was one inning against one inning.
The Chesapeake Lady Panthers and Gallipolis Blue Angels each did their damage in one inning.
But Gallipolis got six runs in their big inning and Chesapeake four runs in their one inning and it resulted in the Blue Angels getting a 7-4 Ohio Valley Conference win on Friday.
Chesapeake got all its runs in the first inning.
Ashley Tackett walked, Brook Webb reached on an error and Ryleigh Swann had a run-scoring double. Lyric Bair and Jordan Storms walked to force in a run. An error scored Swann.
Erika Bowman was safe on an error as a run scored to cap the rally.
Gallipolis took the lead with six runs in the fourth inning.
Alex Barnes tripled and Bailey Meadows singled. Malerie Stanley and Chasity Adams singled, Hunter Copley reached on an error, Bailey Young was hit by a pitch, Ryelee Sipple doubled and Barnes reached on an error.
The Blue Angels did add a run in the fifth when Stanley doubled and scored on Copley’s ground out.
Swann was 2-4 with a double and RBI to pace the Lady Panthers.
Chesapeake hosts Fairland on Monday.
