GALLIPOLIS — The chances of beating the Gallipolis Blue Devils is about 50-50.
Except when Josh Faro pitches.

Faro struck out 11 and walked two for the complete game win.
Josh Hansen was 1-3 and Bretton Martin 1-2 to account for the Chesapeake hits.
Braden Simms singled and Garrett McGuire doubled as Gallipolis took a 1-0 lead in the first inning.
Cole Davis was hit by a pitcher and Morgan Stanley, Dakota Young and Simms all singled as the Blue Devils got two runs in the second.
Morgan Stanley’s single, a groundout and Kaden Thomas’ base hit made it 4-0 in the third.
The final run scored in the fifth when Dylan Smith walked, stole second, took third on a sacrifice and Matt Moreaux hit a sacrifice fly.
