Lady Panthers whip Wahama

AID — The challenge was there and the Chesapeake Lady Panthers were up to the challenge.
Chesapeake played a solid program in Wahama on Saturday in the Valley of Thunder and the Lady Panthers posted a 10-1 win.
“We played pretty well. Wahama won their league last year and has everyone back,” said Lady Panthers’ coach Aaron Rice.
The Chesapeake Lady Panthers clipped the Wahama Lady White Falcons 10-1 on Saturday in The Valley of Thunder.
Chesapeake jumped in front 2-0 in the first inning.
Ashley Tackett, moved up on a passed ball and Ryleigh Swann singled for a run. Lyric Bair and Jordan Storms singled for the other run.
The lead went to 4-0 in the fifth.
Rachel Pratt was safe on an error, Tackett singled, Spears put down a sacrifice and Webb had a two-run triple.
The Lady Panthers erupted for six runs in the sixth.
Erika Bowman doubled and courtesy runner Makayla Clark was sacrifice to third. Pratt singled home Clark.
Tackett and Spears walked to load the bases and Webb singled home two runs. Swann walked and Storms cleared the bases with a triple.
Bowman got the win with a three-hitter as she struck out eight and walked one. The only run was unearned.
Webb was 3-4 with four RBI and Storms went 2-4 and three RBI.
