A culvert replacement project has been scheduled on State Route 218 in Lawrence County, and the route will be closed tomorrow.

On Thursday, May 3, State Route 218 will be closed between Township Road 80 (Polkadotte-Platform Road) and County Road 73 (Federal Creek Road), just west of the Gallia County line, for crews from ODOT’s Lawrence County Highway Maintenance Facility to replace a deteriorated culvert.

The closure will go into effect at approximately 8:30 a.m., and it will remain in effect until 2:30 p.m. or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured via State Route 553 and State Route 7 in Gallia County to State Route 217 and State Route 218 in Lawrence County.
