Several drug traffickers plead guilty

Proctorville man gets eight years in prison

A Proctorville man was sentenced to prison for drug trafficking charges in Lawrence County Common Pleas Judge Charles Cooper’s courtroom on Wednesday.

Shawn C. Roach, 24, of 121 Township Road 1105, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to five counts of trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), three felonies of the fourth-degree, one of the third-degree and one of the second-degree.

Cooper sentenced him to eight years in prison.

Numerous other drug traffickers also entered guilty pleas on Wednesday in either Cooper’s or Judge Andy Ballard’s courtroom.

• Glenna J. Booth, 35, of 1119 S. Third St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), both third-degree felonies. Cooper sentenced her to three years in prison.

• Doren E. Dingus, 42, of 102 Marie St., South Point, pleaded guilty to trafficking in drugs (Oxycodone), a fourth-degree felony. Cooper sentenced him to three years in prison.

• Charles W. Jackson, 43, of 720 S. 10th St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to three counts of trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), all fourth-degree felonies. Cooper set sentencing for either May 16 or May 30.

• Audra R. Martin, 46, of 49 County Road 7F, Ironton, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (Oxycodone), both fourth-degree felonies, and complicity to trafficking in drugs, also a felony of the fourth-degree. Cooper set sentencing for either May 16 or May 30.

• Mitchell Robinson, 37, of Coal Grove, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine, heroin), one second-degree felony and one fifth-degree felony. Cooper set sentencing for either May 16 or May 30.

• Teresa Dillon, 47, of State Route 243, Ironton, pleaded guilty to trafficking in heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and complicity to trafficking in heroin, also a fifth-degree felony. Ballard set sentencing for June 6, and amended her bond to $50,000 OR.

• Jessica Withrow, 33, of 403 Memorial St., Coal Grove, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs (amphetamine, dextroamphetamine AKA Adderall), one third-degree felony and one fourth-degree felony. Ballard set sentencing for May 30.

In other cases:

• Cheyenne N Belville, 19, of 1412 S. First St., Ironton, previously pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor. She originally got intervention in lieu of conviction, but violated her terms. Cooper resentenced her to eight months in jail.

• Samuel D. Browning, 33, of 153 W. High St., Apt. 1, Circleville, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, a fifth-degree felony. Cooper sentenced him to 60 days in jail.

• Justin Blackburn, 27, of 243 County Road 42, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (Suboxone), a fifth-degree felony, identity fraud, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a misdemeanor of the second-degree. Ballard sentenced him to four years community-controlled sanctions (CCS) under intensive supervised probation (ISP) with 11 months reserved, and ordered him to complete treatment at Mended Reeds, 200 hours community service and pay court costs.

• Dina Blasko, 36, of 201 Crestview Road, Russell, Kentucky, pleaded not guilty to escape, a third-degree felony, vandalism, a fifth-degree felony, and tampering with evidence, a felony of the third-degree. Ballard set bond at $25,000 cash or surety and $50,000 OR.

• Jeffrey Collins, 35, of 119 Wilson Court, South Point, admitted to CCS violations. Ballard sentenced him to 60 days in jail, four years CCS with 22 months reserved, and ordered him to complete treatment.

• John Davis, 27, of 98 Township Road 352, South Point, admitted to CCS violations. Ballard sentenced him to 18 months in prison.

• Alecia Fell, 33, of 784 County Road 411, Apt. 403, Proctorville, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs (Oxycodone), a fifth-degree felony. Ballard sentenced her to four years CCS under ISP with 11 months reserved, and ordered her to get treatment, complete 200 hours community service and pay court costs.

• Walter Gipson, 34, of 1304 W. Collins St., Flatwoods, Kentucky, pleaded not guilty to tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, trafficking in drugs (methamphetamine), a fourth-degree felony, and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a felony of the fourth-degree. Ballard set bond at $35,000 cash or surety and $35,000 OR. Pretrial was set for May 16.

• Edward Holmes Jr., 39, of 723 Mulberry St., Ironton, pleaded not guilty to intimidation, a third-degree felony, and aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor. Ballard set bond at $50,000 cash or surety and $100,000 OR. Pretrial was set for May 16.

• Daniel Jenkins, 39, of 235 Memorial St., Coal Grove, pleaded not guilty to trafficking in drugs (methylphenidate hydrochloride), a third-degree felony. Ballard set bond at $50,000 cash or surety and $100,000 OR. Pretrial was set for May 23.

• Michelle Norris, 31, of 46 Township Road 111, Ironton, pleaded not guilty to failure to appear, a fourth-degree felony. Ballard set bond at $50,000 cash or surety and $50,000 OR. Pretrial was set for May 16.

• Savannah Owen, 22, of 402 Second St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to grand theft, a fourth-degree felony. Ballard sentenced her to four years CCS under ISP with 17 months reserved, and ordered her to complete STAR and 200 hours community service.

• Xavier Price, 28, of 223 Township Road 1186, South Point, pleaded not guilty to four counts of trafficking in heroin, all fifth-degree felonies. Ballard set bond at $15,000 cash or surety and $50,000 OR.

• Ryan Pyles, 27, of 902 Gary Malone St., Lot 16, South Point, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. Ballard sentenced him to four years CCS under ISP with 17 months reserved, and ordered him to complete anger management and 200 hours community service.

• Charles Riley, 30, of 203 Township Road 1430, Apt. 3, South Point, pleaded not guilty to theft, a fifth-degree felony. Ballard set bond at $5,000 cash or surety and $25,000 OR.

• Albert Rucker, 26, of 120 Freeman Court, South Point, admitted CCS violations. Ballard sentenced him to four years CCS with 12 months reserved, and ordered him to pay $595 in restitution and complete 200 hours community service.
