PEDRO — The Ironton Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is really teed off.
No, they aren’t upset. They are just back on the Ironton Country Club golf course playing again.
The Ladies Nine Hole returned for a new season on Tuesday as they began their weekly golf outings.
The day began with a brief business meeting as hostess Connie Chambers served breakfast treats at the 9:30 a.m. meeting.
Chambers announced the golfing events for the day and the ladies hit the links at 10. When they finished, the women gathered for lunch and Chambers announced the season’s first winners: Dora Carmon, Joyce Lewis, Pat Riggs and Becky Dillow.
The handicap tournament began this past week and will continue throughout the summer months.
The group will meet again at 9:30 a.m. next Tuesday with Riggs serving as the hostess.
Anyone interested in joining the Ladies Nine Hole Golf Association is welcome and women do not have to be members of the Ironton County Club to be part of the group.
