Adoption took place during Paws in the Park fundraiser

COAL GROVE — Members of the Lawrence County Humane Society hosted their Paws in the Park fundraiser on Saturday.

Vendors selling pet-related products and more were on hand at Paul Porter Park.

“I’m selling monogrammed bibs,” she said. “I take custom orders with the names of babies or fur babies.”

In addition to vendors set up at the park, several and kittens were available for visitors to take home.

“We’re mainly here about fostering,” Angela McHone, vice president of the Humane Society,” said. “We currently have 45 cats in fostering right now.”

She said they had some success at Saturday’s event.

“We’ve had several adopted today,” McHone said. “We’re pretty happy with that.”

She said adoptions are $25 and anyone who is interested can visit the Humane Society’s Facebook page.

Paws in the Park was sponsored by the Barker Shop, Sensaboyd Events, Shampoochies Pet Grooming and Jolly Pets.
