“You do different troubleshooting procedures and evaluate different pieces of equipment,” McCleese said. “They simulate what you go through in the field.”

McCleese is part of the HVAC program at CCTC.

“I went to Symmes Valley for high school and came out to the vocational school for my junior and senior year,” he said.

SkillsUSA is a career and technical organization, which serves more than 395,000 high school, college and middle school students and professional members.

Students are enrolled in training programs in trade, technical and skilled service occupations.
