Robert Blankenship
Sept. 7, 1922 — Aug. 7, 2018
Robert M. Blankenship, 95, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, in Hospice Plus, Houston, Texas.
Mr. Blankenship was born Sept. 7, 1922, in Ironton, a son of the late Frank and Nellie Mae (Stephenson) Blankenship. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Leonda (Hampton) Blankenship, on Dec. 22, 2012.
Mr. Blankenship was an Ironton High School graduate and went on to receive his associate degree. He was an U.S Navy veteran, serving in WWII and the Korean War. Mr. Blankenship was a retired industrial engineer for the U.S. government and was a member of the Elks, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, U.S. Navy Armed Guard WW II Veterans and Project Liberty Ship, and the American Legion.
Mr. Blankenship was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by daughter, Rhonda (Charles Tyson) Blankenship Smith, of Houston, Texas; son, Robert M. (Janie) Blankenship II, of Beeville, Texas; and grandson, Charles Tyson Smith IV, of Houston, Texas.

H. Dale Burcham

H. Dale Burcham, 75, of South Point, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 at KDMC, Ashland, Kentucky. He was born Nov. 21, 1942, in Proctorville, son of the late Alta and Hazel Burcham.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bernard and Retta Brammer; three brothers; and one sister. He was a member of Mt. Hope Missionary Baptist Church and retired from Hubbell Ensign Electric and SMC Electric.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Brammer Burcham; two sons, Allen (Natalie) Burcham, of Kitts Hill, and Rodney (Stephanie) Burcham, of Proctorville; one grandson, Cory (Kayla) Burcham; one granddaughter, Anna (Chase) Higgins; four great-grandsons Carter, Rafe, Isaac and Finnley; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by Pastor Mark Roach. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point.
