Roy Sites

Jan. 20, 1942 — Aug. 26, 2018

Roy Lee Sites, 76, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, at his residence. The Lawrence County native was born Jan. 20, 1942, the son of the late Leonard and Gladys (Brammer) Sites. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha Payton Bowman Sites, who passed away June 21, 2011.
Roy was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a self-employed welder. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Sites; sister, Catherine Poynor; and grandson, Jeremy Corbin.
He is survived by a stepdaughter, Rebecca (Stephen) Young; three stepsons, Danny (Angie) Bowman, David Bowman and Mark (Cathy) Bowman; three sisters, Sally Webb, Jean Arbaugh and Susie (Rufus) Johnson; two brothers, Clarence (Eva) Sites and George (Brenda) Sites; grandchildren, Tiffany Waggoner, Christina Harper, Garrett Hudson-Smith, Caitlin Minda, Ryan Young, Maggie Chaffin, Payton Bowman and Josh Corbin; great-grandchildren, Brandace, Ethan, Danielle, Alex, Addison, Avery, Brayden, Brody, Waylon, Rubi and Brandon; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Aid Cemetery with pastor Randy Patrick officiating. There will be a procession leaving at 12:15 p.m. from Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Ronnie Rowe

June 30, 1953 — Aug. 27, 2018

Ronnie Lewis Rowe, 65, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Aug. 27, 2018. Mr. Rowe was born June 30, 1953, in Ironton, a son to the late Harley and Margaret (Cosner) Rowe.
Mr. Rowe was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the woods and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Bobby Hall.
He is survived by a grandson, Brandon Newcomb, of Ironton; three sisters, Yvonne Hall and Lillian Harmon, both of Suffolk, Virginia, and Becky Goin, of Macon, Georgia; four brothers, Harley “Buddy” (Hazel) Rowe, of LaGrange, Clifton (Patty Ann) rowe, of Pine Grove, David (Kimberly) Rowe, of Ironton, and Jimmy (Michele) Rowe, of Elyria; three half-sisters, Clara Childers, Carla Childers and Tracy Rowe; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Richard Salyers and Roger Yates.
