Event set for Sept. 22 at Ro-Na Theater

Ironton aLive is sponsoring the inaugural Miss Ironton Area pageant at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Ro-Na Theater in downtown Ironton.

The category ages will be from 6 months to six years of age for boys Mister and for the girls Miss with categories through age 15 for Miss categories. There will be a winner, first, and second place with option categories included for all entrants.

There will also be a Queen’s pageant that evening at 7 p.m. at the Ro-Na Theater, ages 16-21.

The winner will be expected to attend various activities throughout the year. This age division will be required to introduce themselves and answer a question. A list of questions will be given to each candidate prior to the pageant.

There will be a winner, first and second place and a Miss Congeniality chosen by peers and committee.

The committee plans to use proceeds to purchase new Christmas decorations for the city.
