Consistent Pointers roll by New Boston

NEW BOSTON — The South Point Pointers were consistent.
The Pointers scored three goals in each half as they rolled past the New Boston Tigers 6-1 in a soccer game on Thursday.
Five different players scored for the Pointers led by Marquise Yancey with two goals.
Yancey also had an assist along with Ryan Goodson, Drew Smith and Zane Walters.
Tyler Lilly gave the Pointers a 1-0 lead at the 10-minute mark with Yancey the assist.
Yancey then scored with 29:00 on the clock with an assist from Ryan Goodson.
Yancey got his second goal with the aid of an assist by Drew Smith three minutes later and it was 3-0 at the half.
Smith added a goal to his assist as he scored with 55:00 showing on the clock and it was 4-0.
Luke Tyree scored on a direct kick at the 69:00 mark before New Boston got its lone goal.
But Osiris Kessinger scored an unassisted goal for the Pointers at the 78:00 mark to cap the scoring.
Goalkeepers Jacob McClure and Yancey had two saves each.
South Point visits Russell, Ky., at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
