Christmas-themed show scheduled for Nov. 17

The Oak Ridge Boys are set to perform at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts as part of their holiday tour.

The quartet will bring their “Shine the Light on Christmas” show to Portsmouth on Nov. 17.

The stop will be a return visit to region for the group, who last played in southern Ohio as part of the Lawrence County Bicentennial celebration in 2016. The group were also contributors to  Harvest for the Hungry food pantry’s fundraising auction this summer.

“The Shine The Light On Christmas Tour this year will be our 29th annual Christmas tour,” the Oaks’ Joe Bonsall said in the announcement. “We will sing hit songs for 40 minutes and after a short intermission our full production Christmas show takes over the stage with music celebrating every aspect of the holiday season, from Santa Claus to celebrating the birth of Jesus. Our production is all new and fresh this year and we are more excited than ever to be bringing this very special family event to your town.”
