Tree trimming, clearing project slated for 243

As part of a districtwide maintenance and vegetation management program, a tree trimming project has been scheduled this week on State Route 243 in Lawrence County.

Today and Thursday, maintenance crews will be cutting and clearing trees that overhang along State Route 243, and the route will be subject to daytime closure between County Road 57 (McKee-Ratcliff Road) and County Road 17 (Rankins Creek Road).

Operations will be in effect from approximately 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. each day, with the route open to evening and overnight travel. During periods of closure, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 52, State Route 141, State Route 217 and State Route 378.
