FitFaith Health and Wellness in Ironton is hosting the Angel Tree Dash 5K beginning at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Nitasha Russell, founder of FitFaith Heath and Wellness, said the event is about “our community coming together to make Christmas magical for all children.”

FitFaith is donating 100 percent of the proceeds from the 5K to provide Christmas to children in need in the local school districts.

Those interested in running or walking in the 5K can register at www.tristateracer.com and  finding the Angel Tree Dash for Sunday in the November calendar. The cost to participate is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on the day of the event.

Following the 5K, awards will be handed out and Giovanni’s pizza will be provided.

The race begins at 2 p.m. from FitFaith Health and Wellness, located at 202 Park Ave. in Ironton across from Farmers Market Square.
