Lolita Tordiff

Sept. 1, 1924 — Nov. 17, 2018

Lolita Aleen Tordiff, 94, of Coal Grove, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at her residence. Mrs. Tordiff was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Frederick and Elsie (Henniger) Cronacher. She is also preceded in death by her husband, John Allen “Jack” Tordiff.
Mrs. Tordiff was a 1942 graduate of Ironton High School. She was a bill clerk for N&W Railroad for 30 years, retiring in 1986. Mrs. Tordiff loved her family, spending time with them, and she especially enjoyed always being active with her grandchildren. She loved to play the violin and watch her Cincinnati Reds. She was a member of Central Christian Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Dolin; and sister-in-law, June Cronacher.
She is survived by a daughter, Donita Joan McMackin, of Ironton; three sons, Carl Franklin Tordiff, of Coal Grove, Ashley (Jeannie) Allen Tordiff, of Ironton, and John Deron Tordiff, of Coal Grove; brother, Charles Conacher, of Ironton; sister, Gloria (Gary) Culligan, of West Palm, Florida; three grandchildren, Laura (David) Tordiff Hankins, Devin (Ryan) Tordiff Harmon and Kelli Nicole McMackin, all of Ironton; six great-grandchildren, Jonah Ashley (Katie) Cox, Logan Hankins, Owen R. Hankins, Lola M. Hankins, Jolee L. Hankins and Hadley Ryan Harmon; one great-great-grandchild, Brodee Ashley Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Estal Mulkey Jr.

Sept. 20, 1939 — Nov. 16, 2018

Estal Mulkey Jr., 79, of Hanging Rock, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Mulkey was born Sept. 20, 1939, a son to the late Estal Sr. and Nettie (Brown). He is survived by his wife, Betty Isaac Mulkey, whom he married in 1962.
Mr. Mulkey was a graduate of Rock Hill High School and a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Mulkey retired from Aztec/U.S. Steel as a lab technician in 2003. He was a member of the Ashland Gun Club and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Mulkey.
In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by two daughters, Lora (Randy) Fike, of Richmond, Virginia, and Anita Simpkins, of Scottown; and three grandsons, Nicholas Simpkins, Jason Fike and Matthew Fike.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery with military rites provided by VFW Post 8850. Visitation for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
