Elizabeth “Betsy” Dalton

Mrs. Elizabeth Jane “Betsy” Dalton, 73, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Los Angeles, California native was born Feb. 10, 1945, a daughter of Harriet Jane Rose Edwards, of Bellefonte, and the late Homer Edwards Jr. Betsy is survived by her husband, Michael E. Dalton, whom she married Oct. 19, 1967.
Betsy was a 1963 graduate of Ironton High School and worked over 30 years for the State of Ohio.
In addition to her husband, Betsy is survived by two daughters, Kelli Dalton and Andrew Bosco, of Dunnellon, Florida; and Shelli (Jerry) Blevins, of Ashland, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Candace Ferguson, of Lexington, Kentucky, Adam Ferguson, of Ironton, Lindsay (Kevin) Klaiber, of Wheelersburg, and Bo DeWitz and Macie DeWitz, both of Dunnellon, Florida; a great-grandson, Braxton Klaiber; and a sister, Mari Lynn (Rocky) Rowland, of Greensboro, North Carolina.
In addition to her father, Betsy was preceded in death by her loving grandmother, Pansy Edwards.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be made to the Dalton family by visiting www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
