Maria Norris

Nov. 6, 1946 — Dec. 6, 2018

Maria L. Norris, 72, of Newark, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at her residence. She was born Nov. 6, 1946, in New Bedford, Massachusetts to the late Joaquin and Wilma (Pyles) Cardoza.
Maria graduated from Ironton High School. She was an office clerk for 19 years at Buckeye Lake Truck Stop. She was a member of Newark Baptist Temple, where she was a member of the RU group. She loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed crocheting, playing games on her phone, Thomas Kincaid puzzles, Sunday lunches with the ladies from her church, and she loved baking.
She is survived by her children, Jay (Tiffany McKinney) Norris, of Utica, Tina (Charles Taylor Jr.) Norris, of Newark, and Jeana (George) Offenbaker, of Newark; sisters, Lucy Dust, of Pedro, and Elizabeth (Chester) Childers, of Ironton; grandchildren, Scott, J.W., Stephanie, Cody, Adam, Cassie, Emily, Ronnisha, Kassidy and Josh; great-grandchildren, Leo, Charlie, Connor, Lainey and Payton; special friends, Nini Lupton, Penny Ball and Joellen Moore, all of Newark; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved bird, Pepe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth McCormick.
A funeral service for Maria will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, with pastor Mark Falls officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Clinton Unrue

June 28, 1978 — Dec. 1, 2018

Clinton David Roy Unrue (Clint), 40, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. He was born June 28, 1978, in Landstuhl, Germany. He was the beloved son of Kenneth and Cathie (nee Hogsten) Unrue, of Erlanger, Kentucky.
He was the loving brother of Anna (Pete) Frahm, of Union, Kentucky, and Amy Lilly, of Crystal Lake, Illinois; cherished uncle of Aiden Frahm, Noah Frahm, Madi Frahm, Jake Walter and Ava Walter; and dear nephew of Connie Holtzapfel, of Franklin Furnace. He also had many loving cousins and special friends.
Clint loved life and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm for living life to its fullest. He will be so missed and his spirit will live forever in our hearts.
Private internment will be in the Spring of 2019 at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Contributions in Clint’s name would be appreciated to any favorite charity of your choice.
