SCIOTOVILLE — This one was all Symmes Valley.
The Lady Vikings had three players in double figures as they breezed to a 63-12 Southern Ohio Conference win over the Sciotoville East Lady Tartans on Monday.
Rachael Hayes had 12 points while Peyton Hunter and Kylie Deer scored 10 each for the Lady Vikings (4-1, 3-1). Taylor Sells finished with eight points and 10 different players scored.
Hailee Littlejohn had 10 rebounds, Ellie Johnson eight, Spring Ross seven and Emily Johnson six as the Lady Vikings pulled down 54 rebounds as a team.
Symmes Valley raced to a 17-1 lead at the end of the first quarter as Hayes scored eight points and Deer hit a 3-pointer and scored five more.
Hunter hit a pair of trifecta and Deer added another trey as the lead ballooned to 36-9 at intermission.
“Deer did a good job of controlling the offensive end and kept us from getting out of control,” said Lady Vikings’ coach Alvin Carpenter. “Hayes scored early, Hunter hit some big 3s in the second quarter and all the girls played hard.”
The Lady Vikings only had 10 points in the third quarter but held East scoreless and it was 46-9.
Symmes Valley hosts Portsmouth Clay on Thursday.
