Aaron Parker

Oct. 20, 1980 — Dec. 20, 2018

Charles “Aaron” Parker, 38, of Ashland, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, at his residence from complications of peritoneal cancer. The Ashland native was born Oct. 20, 1980, a son of William W. and Debra Payne Parker, of Albany, Georgia. He is also survived by his wife of 13 years, Alissa Renee Terry Parker, whom he married May 7, 2005.
Aaron was a 1999 graduate of Lee County High School in Georgia, a 2003 graduate of Georgia Tech in material science engineering, and a 2012 graduate of Marshall University in accounting and finance. He was a certified public accountant for the Kelly, Galloway, Smith and Goolsby Company for more than six years and a member of the 13th Street Baptist Church in Ashland, Kencucky. He was also the treasurer and served on the board for the River Cities Harvest.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles Payne; and his paternal grandparents, Clara and Ray Parker.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by two sons, Aiden Parker and Neil Parker, both of Ashland, Kentucky; a brother, Nathan Parker, of Albany, Georgia; and a grandmother, Phyllis Payne, of Ashland, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the 13th Street Baptist Church in Ashland with pastors Bill Parker and Jim Byrd officiating. Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until the time of the service Thursday at the church. Janet Kline

April 10, 1943 — Dec. 21, 2018

Janet Williams Kline, 75, of Ironton, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2018. She was born April 10, 1943, in Ironton, the daughter of the late Elbert Williams and Clara Henson Williams. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Davis.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Jerry Kline; her daughter, Sarah (Travis) Klaiber; and two beautiful grandchildren who she loved dearly, Beau and Jalene Klaiber. She is also survived by her brother, Tom (Barbara) Williams, of Waterloo; and several nieces and nephews.
Janet is a 1961 Ironton High School graduate who knew right away she wanted to teach. She graduated with a teaching degree from Ohio University and went on to teach for 48 years; 46 of those years she taught kindergarten at South Point Elementary. She leaves an abundant amount of cherished students throughout her years, affectionately calling her students “dumplins.”
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home, Ironton. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pine Grove with Fr. David Huffman officiating. Betty Riebesehl

Betty Haskins Riebesehl, 80, of Pedro, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018, at a local health care facility.
