Bentley Deer

July 20, 2016- Jan. 27, 2019

Bentley Deer, 2, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born July 20, 2016 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, a son of David Large and Casey Jean Boggess, both of Ironton.
Bentley is survived by: a brother: Tyler Jolliff; grandparents: Bobbie Anson and Tony Jenkins; a grandmother: Brenda Large; and several family members who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, at Phillips Funeral Home with Brother Dave Schug officiating, burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Glenn Brickey

Sept. 19, 1947 — Jan. 24, 2019

Glenn D. Brickey, 71, of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019. Glenn was born on Sept. 19, 1947, to the late Ruth L. Cameron Brickey Pritchett and the late Henry “Bud” Brown.
Glenn was a 1957 graduate of Ironton High School and a self-employed carpenter. He is survived by son, Robert (Jeannie) Brice, of Catlettsburg, Kentucky; and daughter, Kathy Brown, of Columbus.
Funeral service will be noon Saturday at Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church, Ironton, with William Edwards and Randy Edwards officiating. Terry Minard

May 5, 1956 — Jan. 23, 2019

Terry Minard, 62, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton native was born May 5, 1956, the son of the late Walter Lee, Thelma Easterling, and also his parents who reared him, Everett and Myrtle Shope Easterling. He is survived by his wife, Marsha Lavender Minard.
Terry was a graduate of Ironton High School and worked in the dietary service department at King’s Daughters Medical Center. He enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and playing the guitar and banjo. He is of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gary Minard; three brothers, William Everett and Junior and Gene Easterling; five sisters, Norma Dodson, Clara Henry, Marietta Easterling, Virinia Lee Easterling and Ruby Brown; and a half-sister, Pam Sanders.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Reese (Jessica) Minard and Jerry “JR” Minard, both of Phoenix, Arizona; a stepson, T.J. Gladeau, of Ironton; three grandsons, Gary Minard, of Ironton, Zack Minard, of Arizona, and Bryce Minard, of Arizona; four sisters, Beverly (Randy) Taylor, Kay (Ted) Vanhorn, Margie Stewart and Patty (Paul) West; two brothers, John (Debbie) Easterling and Bobby Easterling; a half-sister, Kay Kay Sanders; and three half-brothers, Chuck Sanders, Billy Sanders and Robert Sanders.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Kevin West officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Phoenix Cox

Phoenix James Cox, of Portsmouth, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He is the son of Kassidi Paige Cox, of Portsmouth, and Gabriel James Casey, of Ironton.
Phoenix is survived by his grandparents, Scott Bradley (Laurie) Cox; his grandma, Betsy (Shawn) Cartee, of Portsmouth; his great-grandma, Beverly Conley; his great-grandparents, William (Joanne) Cox, all of Pedro; and several aunts and uncles.
Phoenix was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frank Conley.
