CHESAPEAKE — The Chesapeake Lady Panthers honored their seniors Karli Davis and Carly Harkless the best way they knew how: with a win.
The Lady Panthers beat the Gallipolis Blue Angels 51-24 on Thursday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.
Davis celebrated with 13 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Maddie Ward had 18 points for Chesapeake while Blake Anderson added 13 points, five rebounds and four steals.
Junon Ohmara scored 12 points to pace Gallipolis.
The Lady Panthers (9-13, 6-8) took a 16-9 first quarter lead as Davis drained a 3-pointer and scored six points. Corinne Ferguson, Anderson and Ward also hit 3-pointers in the quarter.
The lead grew to 33-13 by halftime as Davis knocked down another trifecta and scored seven points with Ward hitting a 3-poiner and scoring seven points. Anderson also had another 3-pointer.
Mandy Petro and Ohmara scored four points each in the third quarter as Gallipolis outscored Chesapeake 11-6 and it was a 39-24 game.
But the Lady Panthers blanked Gallipolis 12-0 in the fourth quarter to win going away.
Ward had six points, Anderson four and Carly Harkless added a basket for the Chesapeake scoring.
Chesapeake plays Wellston at 5 p.m. Monday in the sectional tournament at Jackson.
