A bean luncheon is scheduled for Friday to raise funds for First United Methodist Church in Ironton.

Funds from the meal will go toward putting an elevator in the church, organizer Lois Terkhorn said.

The luncheon, scheduled for from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., will feature beans, cornbread, desserts and a drink and will cost $5.

The church is located at 101 N. 5th St. in Ironton.
