Jack L. Dennin

March 27, 1938- March 3, 2019

Jack L. Dennin, 80, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019, at University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. Mr. Dennin was born March 27, 1938 in Lawrence County, a son to the late Eugene and Fern (Burcham) Dennin . He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Sue Hunt Dennin, whom he married Dec. 10, 1960.
Mr. Dennin was a 1956 graduate of Ironton High School. He was a former sports editor and photographer for The Ironton Tribune and retired from the traffic department at Allied Chemical. Mr. Dennin started the security program at Lawrence County Court House and was a Municipal Court bailiff, he went on to be a deputy reserve for Lawrence County Sheriff Department and worked at Tackett’s Body Shop. Mr. Dennin was a member of Wildwood Church of God in Ashland, Kentucky. Mr. Dennin also founded and sang with the New Life Quartet and was a member of Crucified with Christ Quartet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Jack Richard Dennin, and special aunt and uncle, Evelyn “Ag” and John Hill
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jane (Roy Dale) Tackett, of Flatwoods, Kentucky, and Julie Johnson, of Ironton; three grandchildren, Halee (Travis) Holbert, Chelsey Tackett Clere, Brea’ (Hunter) Boggs and two great grandchildren, Jasper Clere and Hayden Holbert.
Visitation for friends and family will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, 518 S. 6th St., Ironton, and a graveside service will follow at Woodland Cemetery with Pastor Steve Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Roy Tackett, Hunter Boggs, Travis Holbert, Terry Johnson, Wes Runyon and Steven Diamond.

Carl Galloway

Carl E. Galloway, 87, of Chesapeake, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, West Virginia. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruth Ann Galloway.
A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Centenary Cemetery, Chesapeake, with Minister Barry Kelley officiating. Proctorville VFW Post 6878 conducted military graveside rites. Gary Hoback Sr.

Gary Roger Hoback Sr., 82, of Chesapeake, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.

John Adkins

John Butch Adkins, 63, of South Point, died Friday, March 1, 2019, at Community Hospice, Ashland, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Rita Ratcliff.

Chad Allen White, 28, of Huntington, West Virginia, died Saturday, March 2, 2019, at UK Chandler Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky.
