HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) — Marshall’s football team will play at Notre Dame in the 2022 season.
Marshall athletic director Mike Hamrick announced the one-game contract Monday. Marshall will play in South Bend, Indiana, on Sept. 10, 2022.
It will be the first meeting between the schools.
Marshall will catch a break because Notre Dame opens the season the previous week at Ohio State.
The Fighting Irish play at Ohio State on Sept. 3 followed by Marshall Sept. 10 on the incomplete schedule.
Notre Dame hosts Stanford on Oct. 15, visit Navy Oct. 22, host Clemson Nov. 5, and go to Southern Cal Nov. 26.
Dates have yet to be determined for Boston College and trips to North Carolina and Syracuse.
